The times they are a changin
15 April 2005
What a day! The trekkers left us after breakfast, amid a flurry of hugs and well wishes. They are off down valley and will be back in the land of email and indoor plumbing in no time! We wish them all safe travels home.

For us today was 'transition' day. Today we put away our trekking gear, pulled out our climbing gear, and discussed the training days to come, what goes where, why, and how. For now however everyone is content to shower, send an email or two, and look forward to Chongba's great basecamp cooking.

The photo today is probably our two most important AC staff, Ang Tshering or "big boss", on the right, he runs basecamp staff with a smile and a giggle. On the left, Ang Dorje, our Climbing Sherpa "big boss", with 10, yes 10 Everest summits to his credit, makes sure everything goes where it is supposed to on the mountain, as well as watching over all of us up there as well!

So stay tuned for some ladder pratice tomorrow, should be quite entertaining!

Till then,
Luis and the AC crew
