Base Camp Day
27 April 2005
Today was a base camp chillout day for most. The leisurely breakfast routine was followed by showers, perusing the 'local rags' and chatting.

Rob Follows, Kat and Paul climbed up the Khumbu Icefall until the third ladder. They were very happy with this acclimatization and training day. Their descent was in falling snow.

Much to the amusement of all Dan hung up his Canadian special stylish 'G-String' line adjacent to his tent and beside some prayer flags (a farewell laugh from work friends). Rob Hart is fortunately making a pronounced recovery from a recent vicious chest infection. Piers found himself involved in a tent relocation project with many persistent Sherpas helping. The afternoon cinema had advocates of British Humor enjoy watching a couple of episodes of Black Adder.

Tomorrow our hard working Sherpa Team head back up onto the upper mountain to establish Camp 3 and provision Camp 4.
