September 27- Final Dispatch

Namaste everyone who's still watching. It's Tuesday and the team is ready to depart Kathmandu tomorrow.

We had a great celebration evening at the Tibetan discos in Zhangmu two nights ago. Everyone took their turn on the dance floor including Gopal and Tshering.

It was a wonderful expedition not only because of the summit but because the group had a lot of laughs and good times together. The last couple of weeks of an expedition the 'adult camp' really bonds in the best of conditions and that certainly happened with us. Tony, Suzanne, Mike and Kevin are all highly entertaining and intelligent. We missed Don on the summit speaking of intelligence. The crew did and excellent job as well with Lhakpa, Tshering, and Mingma fixing the rope for the season. We are all thankful that Mingma only ended up in the hospital for a few nights. Gopal once again was a phenom in the kitchen. And last but not least Lhakchung's mischevious smile always was welcome in the dining tent.

Here's to a great summit... and to more adventures.

All the best,
Dave
