Last night was a windy – spindrift filled experience with everyone just hanging out waiting for the dawn and hoping the tents would stay put in the increasing winds. It showed us just what the mountain can hand out and this was only a moderate wind at only 7500m. A good idea NOT to be higher than that in strong winds for sure. The guides stayed behind briefly to pack up most of the tents as they would not with stand the high winds for much longer. We stuffed all the equipment into one large storage tent and two other tents that were anchored the best were left for the other parties to use should they want them.
