Group at puja

Sept. 6- ABC
    
It’s 4 pm Nepal time and we’re sitting here under the warm, bright sun. We had a colorful puja this morning complete with prayers of good luck & safety, tsampa, smiles and cans of Pabst Blue Ribbon. It was quite a time.

These guys all enjoyed the puja very much and snapped many photos. Now we’re spending the afternoon doing more of the same: reading, writing, listening to music, and drinking tea.

Another team moved into ABC today bringing the total expeditions here to 7 including ours. Tomorrow we’ll have another rest day before moving back up the mountain. It’s Paul’s bday tomorrow so I’m plotting something good with Lakpa and Gopal. I’m thinking a true campfire with s’mores and music. Hmmm. No graham crackers or marshmallows. We’ll figure something out. We at least have some bday candles.

Wednesday we’ll move back up to CI and Thursday make a venture on up above where the climbing begins in earnest. The team is doing great and Thursday will bring everyone into that ‘climbing’ realm finally. I know they’re looking forward to that.
