Sept. 8- CI
Hey now- we're all here at CI settled into our sleeping bags and tents.
It's 6:50 pm Nepal time and darkness has just descended upon us. The sunset was spectacular from our perch up here on the West Ridge. It's just begun to snow in short flurries and we may wake up to a good dusting. All around we can hear the mountain settling into the night by letting loose snow and other debris that warmed too much during the day.
These guys were champs today and are feeling comfortable in this thin air. Tomorrow we'll push on up and over the ice wall that leads to CII along with a couple of other teams who are here in CI. We'll then return to CI before reaching CII and spend another night here.
We'll be in touch tomorrow. Sorry- this time up no photos till back at ABC!

Sept. 7 - ABC
Hello once again from ABC.
Another relaxing day here. Same wonderful music, food, and books. It is a birthday day so that’s made it a bit unique. Gopal is working on a cake for Paul’s bday
Sept. 6- ABC
It’s 4 pm Nepal time and we’re sitting here under the warm, bright sun. We had a colorful puja this morning complete with prayers of good luck & safety, tsampa, smiles and cans of Pabst Blue Ribbon.
