Let The Battle Commence!

Hello, well its been another busy 24hrs which has seen continued progress in a Easterly direction. Last night we were cruising at speeds of upto 4knts, great for rowing but not so good for the nerves. With no moonlight at all we could only see the whites of the breaking waves as they came behind and under the boat driving us forward.

Such excitement seems along time ago now. We have just recieved our first bad weather forecast we will later today be sitting on the para anchor for upto 48hours. A heated debate is now ensuing as we try and deicide who has the the honour of occupying the front cabin! Why do I have this sinking feeling that as the junior member of the crew I will be the lucky one?

Wildlife has again bee present and as usual proving rather camera shy. Thouugh saying this we did have a very close encounter with a whale who was far from shy it was just that our resident 4th choice camera man was not up to the job! You will have to watch the documentary to find out more.

Highlight of the day was the discovery of 4 fresh oranges, great for keeping scurvy at bay. Funnily enouugh when George was in the Navy oranges were part of the daily rations.

Till Monday
