Its Day 1 I can't even imagine what you all must be going through, waves like 'tower blocks' in sea's of blue, battling the elements day in day out, the challenge is to be accomplished with no sign of doubt, "its emotional" where the words that where spoken, for the words of a brave man will never be broken, the challenge is tough or so it seems, but you've applied the courage to follow you dreams. so carry on forward with oars at your knee's, and i'll ask god for the westerly breeze! good luck boys, love Jam Rock
Yesterday we recieved this poem from Jamie Rock, son of onboard 4th choice chef, George Rock. Great poem Jam boys were all very impressed, its was also quite apt that yesterday whilst opening our daily rations we came across the pictured ration bag the work of young Jam. Whilst we failed to see the humour in such a sickening wind up we did cry with laughter when Nigel spotted the meal, bless him he actually believed inside the bag was the pictured meal.
Whilst on the subject of food this seems a good opportunity to mention the ever deteriorating culinary skills of George Rock. Only a fews days ago he was given the responsibilty of bringing to the boil a pan of water inside which he had to place 4 boil in the bag meals. Like his porridge he deemed it possible reheat the meals using the least possible amount of water. Needless to say 10minutes later a dubious smell was arising from the pan as contents of meal and foil bag intergrated themselves together with the pan.
Message for Brian Rock (The North Easts top chef and father to George) you will have to give your lad some tips on our return Also keep the messages coming on our web board, sorry to hear about rough night and traffic chaos on A62! one can only barely imagine your hardship.
Well everyone we expect to be announcing some very exciting news within the next 24hrs stay tuned.
Yours The Crew
