CONTRASTS........AND THE STRANGE CASE OF THE MISSING BEAR.
22nd JUNE 2005 1200BST 4636.0000N,02718.0000W,0M
As we enter day 23 of our voyage what strikes us is the dramatic changes and contrasts in conditions and mood. After several days of living in a cold, wet, grey world, where the only changes were how heavy the rain was and how hard the wind blew. We find ourselves transported to a world of blue skies and blue/green seas. The wind is light and in our favour, and it even seems we may have found a slight favourable current too help us along. Whilst spirits have been consistantly high all along, all 4 of us are noticeably more quiet during the grey days and banter and wind ups increase dramatically with the onset of better conditions. Long may these days continue.
On a far more serious note a drama is unfolding onboard. "LUCKY" Nige's teddy, bought for him by daughter Kate is missing. The only clue is this photo, rumours abound but as yet we have no suspects. Rest assured we will leave no stone unturned in this mystery. "LUCKY". will be saved. Watch this space.
Another gripping episode of "4 GO ROWING " will follow at the same time tomorrow.
Yours AYE the Crew.
