Stintino - 2.50pm and i have finally dropped my hook. The two pontoons here, the same as last year in this small tuna fishing harbour, are obviously twice as busy and whilst there is one spare slot it is onthe leeward side, it,s blowing hard (again) and I'm tired and on my tod. Discretion has made me anchor.
Final mileage was 245 and took 43 hours, only one hour longer than last year when there were four of us and on the tail end of a Mistral. It was a good trip with no major problems and even lack of sleep was less debilitatibg than I expected (a total of 4hours out of 60) - I dare say it will hit tomorrow.
The others have just rung from Alghero airport and will be here in 40 minutes - time for a drink!
