Somebody needs to tell the weatherman that its spring - I hiked through yet another few feet of snow today, and there's supposed to be more on the way. All the streams were swelled with snowmelt, and my feet are way soggier than I'd like. The high country of Virginia is beautiful though - open fields of rolling farmland with a backdrop of mountains, and herds of wild ponies all over the place. I'll be in the Grayson highlands tomorrow - lookin forward to more beautiful stuff, and maybe dry feet too. "I'll be drinkin muddy water, sleepin' in hollow logs" -nmas
