Kelly's Knob
15 Apr, 05 - 20:51    3721.216N,8026.428W,1141M
Woke up this morning to a chilly 35 degrees, which was actually pretty nice... that is until about 2 miles into my hiking. apparantly the last big storm that came through here washed away a pretty important bridge over Ole' Stony Creek; leaving me to ford the refreshingly frigid current. It was only about 30 feet across, but as soon as my feet touched that water, they were a little cold... to say the least. Well, I thawed, eventually, and now I'm sitting on top of Kelly's Knob, watching the half moon overhead with the last of the sunset fading away and the first of the stars appearing. It's more beautiful than I can describe, or my camera can capture, but I'm freezing and that sleeping bag sounds pretty great. "there's a halfmoon rising in southeastern skies... and the stars they guide my way across the night, there's a half moon rising, pushin' me on to every other mountain top." -ymsb (I messed those lyrics up I'm sure)
