Expedition Finse Haul Concludes

The team have now arrived safely back in the UK having had a fantastic time in Norway. The North Pole team are now ready to begin their mission with routines and safety procedures now well drilled. The South Pole team have been pushed hard by Major Paul Mattin over the week (27 km a day) and they all know what it will take to ski to the South Pole hauling a 200 lb sledge. All in all a very useful and essential training expedition.

A special thanks to the Commanding Officers of 45 Commando, 42 Commando, Commando Logistics Regiment, Special Dive Unit Portsmouth, RNAS Yeovilton, SBS, Commando Training Centre Royal Marines and, in particular, the staff of the Royal Marines Mountain Leader Training Company.
