    Storm Winds at Camp III, 7300m

This year, the Everest team headed by Scott Woolums used CONTACT 2.0 to capture Everest's worst storm in a decade. Scott's team was the only one high up when the winds struck. He uploaded this video, and later, many others from high camps. Scott used both a PDA and a laptop. This video is edited with standard video editing software at Camp 2. Thuraya satellite phone (9.8 kb/s).

      Sled Dogs Towed in Boat - Greenland

Polar veterans Matty and Paul Landry on the ultimate family vacation: Crossing Greenland by ski, kite and dog-sled, together with their teenage kids Sarah and Eric. All family members took turns to upload videos, pics and dispatches to their expedition Web site. CONTACT 2.0 was used with an Iridium satellite phone (2.4 kb/s) for this video clip.

Luanne Freer built the world's highest medical station at Everest BC. Her pioneer work with Sherpas and other climbers was documented with images and videos sent via CONTACT 2.0 to her Web site.

      Heart Transplant Climbs Matterhorn

In 1995, Kelly Perkins went through a heart transplant operation. In 2003, she and husband Craig climbed to the summit of the Matterhorn. Three-time Everest sumitteer Michael Brown used CONTACT 2.0, a PDA and a Thuraya satellite phone to document live to the Internet.
