Most modern computers has longed scrapped RS-232 for USB and the Iridium phone does not provide a USB interface. The solution is a USB to RS-232 adaptor. There are quite a few of these on the market, but only a few support Iridium serial communication. HumanEdgeTech sells a "HET Iridium USB to Serial adapter" that works with Iridium 9500, 9505 and 9505A.
