Most modern computers has longed scrapped RS-232 for USB and the older Thuraya phones does not provide a USB interface. The solution is a USB to RS-232 adaptor. There are quite a few of these on the market, but only a few support Thuraya serial communication. HumanEdgeTech sells a "HET Thuraya USB to Serial adapter" that works with Thuraya 7100 and 7101 with Windows XP and some Mac models. Note! Thuraya SG-2520 and SO-2510 do not need this cable since they use USB as standard.
