Solar Charging:

The Laptop is delivered with car charger (12V) and wall charger (100V/240V).

The Asus can be charged from a SolarBlazt FEATHER or SURVIVOR by using the HET 2.5 Amp battery as a buffer.

A 20W FEATHER or SURVIVOR will charge the laptop in 3-4 hours with the HET battery. The laptop battery will allow 2.5 - 3.5 hours of operation without charge.

HumanEdgeTech customizes the ASUS but is not an authorized reseller. Each laptop will be adapted to specification by the customer.

The ASUS EEE does not carry a warranty by HumanEdgeTech. Human Edge Tech do now guarantee the manufacturer warranty.

The ASUS hard drive space will be mostly occupied by XP and other installations. Files should be stored at the external hard drive.

HumanEdgeTech will not provide any support for the laptop except for satellite connection settings and only if the customer bought the satellite equipment from HumanEdgeTech.

The ASUS is built upon a solid-state hard drive which will allow for operations at higher altitudes.

The exclusive Super Hyper Engine, technology found only in the Eee PC, is incredibly efficient and saves up to 15% of power. Combined with SSD, which consumes less power, allows between 4 to 8 hours of Battery life.

Laptops consistently break down during expeditions and even though the ASUS has a higher potential to work well, especially at altitude, the customer should be aware of potential hardware failure. No warranties will apply to malfunctioned equipment.

By experience team HumanEdgeTech strongly recommends to bring a backup computer on expeditions.
