The latest iPAQ expedition model has a bigger screen, more memory and a new sleek design.

The iPAQ Expedition handheld PDA's has been proven a reliable favorite by mountaineers, polar skiers, ocean rowers for years. It has survived extreme humidity and temperatures down to -55C. It has reached the summit of Everest, skied to the poles and crossed both the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans in rowing boats.

Installed with the Contact software (activation not included - check CONTACT 4) daily updates direct from extreme conditions to the web has been done by more than 500 expeditions, scientists and aid workers.

Due to their lack of rotating hard-drives, the hand-helds are more reliable at high altitudes than most laptops that often stop working at 6000 meters.

It is still recommended to bring two PDA's for prolonged expeditions.

The expedition PDA is ready to use by delivery. Software is installed and tested with satellite phone by the HumanEdgeTech team.

Note! The PDA needs to be protected in zip-lock plastic bags in humid enviroments and kept in inner-pocket or similar in colder temperatures (below -20C). During night time the PDA should be kept at the bottom end of the sleeping bag.

A hard reset stops all running applications and erases any program which you have installed, as well as saved data.
To perform a hard reset:
1. Press the Application Key 3, Application Key 2, and the Voice Recorder button simultaneously and hit the Reset button once.
2. Press and hold the Application Key 3, Application Key 2, and the Voice Recorder button until Clean boot is displayed at the bottom of the screen.
