Back to the Boat!
4 March 2006
We're baaaack!
What a trek! As you can see from the photos, the mountains above Puerto Williams are immense and rocky!
The walk in was beautiful, high lush alpine zone foilage combined with an amazing alpine lake made our campsite the most idyllic of places.
It was with quiet amazement that we erected our tents and enjoyed our first night in 3 weeks so far away from each other (living on a boat is a challenge sometimes!).
Our climb of the highest peak in the 2nd photo was yet another beautiful day of scrambling over rocks to a summit that looked out over Cape Horn to the south, and Ushuaia to the north. A magical way to end a magnificent trip. Today we have all trekked back to town and back to our boat to finish off our journey tomorrow back to Argentina and then on home. Stay tuned for our final dispatch from Ushuaia...

Luis and a stinky, but elated crew.
