Basecamp bliss
25 October 2004
Greetings everyone back home.
Today was spent getting ready for our carry to ABC, or advanced basecamp, tomorrow.
The crew also had more ropework pratice on a huge boulder further away from basecamp to make sure everyone's harnesses and systems are ok.
Even though we were in basecamp today, our crew of Sherpas was hard at work carrying tents for us as far as camp 2! Where would we be without their help! There seems to be a lull between teams right now as lots of people are headed off the mountain, so we are hoping for less crowded condtions the higher we go.
Tomorrow promises to be a long day, as we are just touching ABC, then coming back down, to follow the climb high, sleep low rule of adjusting to the altitude.

Ciao,
Luis and the gang.
