Answer - "A dream is a goal glimmering in the distance; it is an inner calling which, when accomplished,

    Caught a shark...    October 4, 2007 - Day 87
Now I have confirmed that I can eat a shark if I have to, but I will favor the dorados when I can, which are more plentiful. Certain species of shark are endangered and I do not know which those are.

    Remora encounter...    October 3, 2007 - Day 86
The lure with its new double hook did not get any bites from the dorados despite all of my tries. I would stand high across the footwell, leaning against the bulkhead of the cabin, gazing from above

These dorados can fight!    October 2, 2007 - Day 85

    Booby landing!    September 28, 2007 - Day 81
The last two days have been just depressing, with almost nonstop rain. Given my goal to slow down my westward progress, I let the boat run with the seas, without rowing which would have added extra m

Back on the move...    September 26, 2007 - Day 79
I was growing lethargic from a lack of exercise over the last week, most of which was spent on sea anchor, waiting. Yesterday morning, the winds were very light and variable, mostly from the NE. I g
