The Missing Part Of The 10/28 Dispatch

We had our Puja this morning. A Lama from Pangboche came up to officiate @ the 2-hr ceremony. It is done prior to starting up the mountain. It is a Buddhist ceremony of thanksgiving and making offerings to the mountain asking that it grant us a safe and successful climb.

After the Puja we went over our technical gear to make sure we have what we need, and only what we need. More is not better.

After lunch, Jeff rigged a line on a huge boulder, and we practiced with our ascenders, then moved to a hillside for additional fixed rope training .

We're getting antsy to climb, but we know that this measured, systematic approach will give us the greatest chance of success.
